Teaching and mentorship are central to my academic contributions.

Teaching

I currently direct Environmental and Occupational Exposure Science and co-teach an online Environmental Exposure Assessment course for executive learners. I aim to equip students with the knowledge and skills to analyze complex environmental health problems while fostering an inclusive, engaging classroom that adapts to emerging science and student needs. My courses integrate active learning, real-world research examples, and attention to environmental justice, connecting scientific methods with policy.

Mentoring

The mission of my research group is to conduct high-quality research on environmental exposures that advances public health while maintaining a supportive, collaborative, and rewarding environment. I mentor students to develop research skills, think independently, and contribute to impactful projects, blending structured guidance with opportunities to take ownership of their work and grow as scientists.
