Nicole C. Deziel, PhD, MHS is a tenured Associate Professor in Environmental Health Sciences at the Yale School of Public Health and Co-Director of the Yale Center for Perinatal, Pediatric, and Environmental Epidemiology.
Dr. Deziel obtained a Master’s and Doctorate in Environmental Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her research is focused on understanding environmental exposures to chemicals, particularly carcinogens and hormone disruptors, and their human health consequences.
While she studies a range of environmental agents and health, areas of focus include chemicals in consumer products, drinking water contaminants, and pollutants generated from oil and gas drilling. Her research uses a combination of large, administrative datasets and community-focused field work.
Dr. Deziel has 120 published scientific articles and has served on numerous review panels for the US Environmental Protection Agency, National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, and California Geologic Energy Management Division, and has delivered invited testimony before the U.S. Senate Budget Committee.
